Hello

I am pretty new here, and I have a question.

Is it possible to make authentication subgroups within a certain group?

Like If one group is set to content provider and then inside this group create subgroups with different rights to different pages? For example a user is a content provider for the Basketball section, but is only alloed to edit his own teampage LA Lakers, is this possible in DNN?

Hello,
This may not be accurate with the latest version of DNN, but I don't believe you can embed roles within roles.  What you can do though is assign a user to multiple roles, which would enable you at the page level to set a "content provider" role with one generic set of rights, and then set a specific role with more rights.

To illustrate:

Role A = "Content Provider for BasketBall Section"
Role B = "LA Lakers Writer"
Role C = "Chicago Bulls Writer"
User A belongs to Role A and Role B
User B belongs to Role A and Role C
Page 1 = LA Lakers
Page 2 = Chicago Bulls

User A would be able to do anything allowed by Role A & B on Page 1, but User B would only have rights as Role A.
User B would be able to do anything allowed by Role A & C on Page 2, but User A would only have rights as Role A.
