I've started seeing events such as the below one being logged, which look like attempts at a SQL injection exploit.  Is DNN vulnerable to this attack?  I am running 4.08.02

no, it's just logging errors due to invalid casting - see my blog post @ http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1930/Default.aspx to understand why dnn does not suffer from this attack.
