Hi all,

I've uploaded a video file (.wmv) by ftp and it is in the portal root directory but my dotnetnuke file manager does not see it.

When I tried to upload it using file manager it said unsupported file.

I have used the same file on a previous dnn site, how do I get file manager to see my video file????

Thanks

Chris

To add it to the allowed files login in with Host credentials and add wmv to the allowed extension list found under Host->Host Settings.

I don't know if that's why you can't see it in the File Manager though. Did you try doing a recursive synch of the files (top right corner of the file manager).

Remember that the file manager will only synchronize files that are one of the allowed extensions.  Once shown in the filemanager, however, you can remove the extension and you will still have access to the file through the filemanager.

Thanks Mike, that's sorted it.
