I am working with DNN for the first time.  I want to use it to create our plant's intranet.  I like the idea of portals, and would like to create several portals for some of our larger areas.  However, I want the portals to appear on the main menu of the parent portal.  Conversely, I would like the parent portal to appear on the menus of the child portals.  I have several book and was able to accomplish this once before, but now I can't seem to get it to work.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you are trying to add them to your navigation try this for each portal:

1. Add a new page called "Portal 1"

2. In the page settings, go to Advanced Settings --> Other Settings

3. Set Link URL to to "URL ( A Link To An External Resource )" and paste in the exact URL from the respective portal home page.

4. Update the settings and voila!
