After chatting with Jan, he discovered the above link cannot be converted to a DNN menu.

On to other options I guess...

I would be very interested in what you discovered.  I'm using a color variant of that same skin and would love to get rid of the solpart menu.  I'm looking at the Snapsis menu if I can't work with the new DNNNav menu.  Your input is much appreciated!

Hey there roadshow!  Jan and I worked together for a bit and did not end up coming with a solution which worked properly.  There were too many minor items which could not be worked out.  I need to use the DNNNav menu in order to localize it.  Is the Snapsis menu able to be localized?  Sorry for the dissapointing news...
