I followed the instructions in DNN Installation guide but I cannot get the DNN Web Application template to show after I download and install the starter kit.

I am using Windows XP SP3.  I have Visual Studio Wbe Developer 2005 Express and Visual Studio 2005 installed.  I also have MS Sql Server 2005 and MS SQL Server Express installed. I can successfully create and publish web apps to the local IIS server from both VWD and from VS 2005.

I downloaded the Started Kit, unzipped and clicked on the DotNetNuke, vscontent file. Everything proceeded as per the installation guide except when I try to create a new web site from VWD I do not see the DNN template.

I downloaded the starter ket to a folder on my harddrive.  After I ran DotNetNuke.vscontent it created several zip files (e.g., module_cs.zip) but I'm not sure where the unzipped files were created if at all.  Nothing was added under the inetpub.wwwroot folder.

What am I doing wrong?

To create Web Applications, you need Visual Studio 2005 SP1 (Standard/Pro/Team Edition) or 2008 or VWD 2008 SP1.

I have SP1 installed.

After I unzipped the file DotNetNuke_04.08.04_StarterKit.zip the following files were extracted:
DotNetNuke.vscontent
DotNetNuke.zip
Module_Compiled_VB.zip
Module_CS.zip
Module_VB.zip
Simple_VB.zip
Skin.zip

If I click on DotNetNuke.vscontent the installation process runs as per the Installation guide on pages 28-30 with the exceptions that I never get the warning about the digital certificate and the template option never appears in VWD as it shows on page 31.

As far as I can tell, the installation process simply moves the zipped files to the following folders on my XP SP3 box:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Basic\Web
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Templates\ItemTemplates\Visual Web Developer\CSharp
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Templates\ItemTemplates\Visual Web Developer\VisualBasic

None of the files are unzipped, the zipped files are simply moved to the locations above.

If I run the installation process a second time, I am prompted "a module with the name DotNetNuke.zip already exists. Do you want to 1) rename the modeule DotNetNuke(2).zip?; 2) Overwrite the module with the same name?; 3) skip writing this file?

Is this correct?  Shouldn't these files be unzipped as part of the installation?  Am I supposed to do this manually?

I have both VS 2005 and VWD installed.  I also have both SQL Server 2005 and an instanace of SQL Server Express installed. All cuurent service packs and critical updates are installed. I am also running the Microsoft Live OnceCare antivirus software.  I am running XP Pro SP3 in Worgroup configuration (i.e., it is not part of an NT domain).  My Visual Studio and VWD can create and publish .NET web apps to the local IIS web server without any problems.  Here are the details on the Visual Studio apps:
