When creating child portals, I do not want the user to have access to the control panel and host menu.  How do I disable it?

Don't give the user Admin or page edit permissions and they won't get those items. If there is something on the admin menu that you need them to have then use a third party module to provide it, or wait for DNN 5, which will offer more control over that menu.

Even if they create the portal themself?  What I mean is, I am giving them the optoin to create the portal and they get host and Admin menus by default.

hmm.. they should not be getting the Host menu at all unless you're giving the host account to them.

You might find it easier to let users create their own portals as Admin or as another non-admin role by using Onyaktech's Portal Sign-up module: http://www.freednnsite.com/

That's the best option for providing portal-creation functionality. I think that site lets you go through it as a demo.

YEah, I am testing that now.  So maybe it is giving the Host menu because I am creating it as a Host user.  I'll try as a different user.  Thanks
