Hi everyone,

I am new with DNN framework.

Can any one suggest for porting existing asp.net 2.0 website and its datatabase with Dnn framework.

I don't want to make module from begining,i already using ascx (asp.net user controls) with aspx pages in our website which contains all the functinality for view/insert/update, i dont need seperate user control for all these. How can i acheive this from DNN.

I am not able to port existing login database into DNN framewrok,Just because of DNN using its own database and api for accessing database.

Please help i am stuck with this.

Thanks in advance!

We have found that depending on what you have built, it is far quicker to install a fresh DNN and spend some time to create the site structure and copy content page by page. You would naturally need to create a skin that mirrors the old application. Porting users from any application to DNN is not too difficult - you should find third party modules on snowcovered or the MarketPlace that can write list of users to DNN. However, when ever we had to do this we had to do a little bit of modifications depending on the existing users profile fields.
