Hi I am trying to develope a module which will call a webservice for a search criteria. Once I get the results , I would like to display it. Now my search Module will be places in the left pane but I would like to show the results in the Content pane. How do I achieve this? Should I create two modules and persist the search resutls to load in another module or what ? I dont like to idea of persisting the search results just to render it in another pane. Can somebody elaborate on this? What module framework support can be used to achieve this? As I understand, a module is basically a web user control and thus do not have access to other modules placed on the page? or does it ? I guess If I can get to the search results pane / control / module , I should be able to render the results there ? All ideas are welcome. Thanks

Ash,

You can pass information from one module to another using IMC (intermodule communication) ... see http://kemmis.info/blog/archive/2008/02/22/dotnetnuke-inter-module-communication-or-how-your-modules-can-get-their.aspx  THis is a good article on how to implement IMC.  It's rather simple.. once you give it a try.

Paul.
