We just completed an incremental upgrade from 4.0.2 -> 4.4.1 -> 4.6.2 -> 4.8.4. The upgrade went well, but when we try to access documents via links on the various portals we get a page stating "You Do Not Have Permission To View The Requested File". We can fix this by going to the File Manager and giving All Users "View Folder" permissions on all folder where documents reside. Is this the only solution or is there another way to go about fixing this problem? What has changed in the different versions to cause this issue?

since DNN 4.3.x, anyone, who shall be able to download a file using inernal interface "LinkClick.aspx" needs view permission for the folder, it resides in.

I kind of figured that would be the case. Thanks for the response Sebastian!
