Hello folks

I faced this error in my installation progress I hope you can help me:

Parser Error Message: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.  This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.

in the yellow box it has got an error in tag, 2-3 lines below a red tag has been specified that I guess is the problem :

make sure, virtual directory or web site is pointing to the directory, where web.config is situated and there is no web.config in a subfolder

There are two common reasons for this error.  The first is your DNN directory is not configured as an application in IIS  The second is you have a second web.config in a folder above or below your DNN install.

I had the same problem...

but I know why it happened...

coz my virtual directory must move to next subdirectory.. that means that root directory must have web.config file...
