I'd like to extend the fuctionality of the events module by adding a possibility of automatic announcement generation on creation of the event. It should be as simple as pasting a little bit of SQL somewhere to the code resonsible for event creation.

However, I have no idea where that code is and how to approach this problem. Another problem is that I don't do VB, but I hope it is as easy as they say.

Maybe someone has already done similar stuff with this module and can help me with this task?

Would you recommend any book in particular?
