I have created one module which is used for adding/displaying records.  My  logic is such that, any user(registered/unregisterd)  can view the record and only host/admin can add the record. But now unregistered user cannot view the record and registered user can also add the record.  How can I give access  to unregisterd user,  to view the record ?  And how can I restrict registered user(but host/admin),  from adding the record.

Each control in a module can have one permission state.

Allow access to ecah control you want by setting it when you add the module.

For your case, you probably just used one dnn web user control. You need at least two to set it up as you stated.

One for viewing - visible to all

One for modifying - visible to admin

Recap:

Each module can contain multiple controls.

Each control can be set to be allow accesss.

The control that allows view is set visible to all

The control that allows edit is set visible only to admin
