I have the following code trying to implement a module popup extender on my DNN page.  I would like it to display on the click of the asp:button btnAddQuestions.  However, this does not occur.  I can not get this to display upon the button press.  What am I missing to display this?

<asp:Panel ID="pnlQuestionsEntered1" runat="server" CssClass="modalPopup" Style="display: none" Width="233px">

<asp:Label runat =server ID = lblQuestionsEntered Text = "HI" >asp:Label>

<br />

<div align="center">

<asp:HyperLink ID="lnkReturn" runat="server" Target="_self" Text=" OK " CssClass="vividLinkButton" />

div>

asp:Panel>

<ajaxToolkit:ModalPopupExtender ID="ModalPopupExtender1" runat="server" TargetControlID="btnAddQuestions"

PopupControlID="pnlQuestionsEntered1"

BackgroundCssClass="modalBackground"

DropShadow="true" />

Hi jlpabich,

The ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit requires a DOCTYPE of XHTML 1.0 Transitional to function correctly.  Is it possible that you are using a skin with a quirks (or older) declaration?  I believe this would cause the behavior you describe.

Beyond that, I suggest copying the toolkit example into your module usercontrol EXACTLY to test for correct functionality.  Only when you have the toolkit example working properly within DNN would I start moving toward your domain-specific markup.  This is the method that I used to get things up and running, so I feel your pain (and have been subsequently able to use ModalPopupExtender successfully).

Hope this helps!

Brandon
