hi all

the problem is that the home page is slow when i'm logged in, only the home page tabid=36, the rest of the site speed is fine

i copied the home page, skin and modules to another page, it's speed is fine

the wired thing is that when i'm logged in the home page loads in less than 2 seconds, when i'm not logged in it takes about 40 seconds or more!

i'm on version 04.08.03

any possible reasons???

thnx in advance

When you first hit the page it has to compile and be cached.  After that it responds from cache.  ASP.NET, nothing to do with DNN.  Get more users and it will stay cached and always be fast.

If your site has light traffic, then you can use on of the many available "keep alive" services or programs to keep your site from being unloaded.

If you control your IIS server, you can configure it to have a longer timeout, or to not unload your site.
