I am still having a hard time finding the option to disable the enhanced security setting n Module settings so I can get rid of the html characters appearing in my UDT table module if someone could help me out with locating it.

Also I'm having a hard time giving permissions to users to allow them to update entries in a UDT module that I've created.  I've tried giving them rights to edit the actual page, as well as the module, and neither seems to be working.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Neither page nor module edit permissions are needed, you control this with the custom permissions

  • Edit Record
  • Delete Record
  • Add Record

Do you mean "Filter entry for markup code or script input. Note: filtering is always enabled for Anonymous users.", it is inside the module settings

That's what I've done:

But it's not letting anyone in the Academic Advisement role edit an existing posting?

Michelle, your settings are correct, and it should work. Edit module permission is not needed (and normaly not wanted for security reasons).

Just to get sure:

  • You are working with the default container (aka DNN Blue, like shown in your picture). Some containers don't show the "add" link
  • Caching is disabled for UDT (Caching is set to -1 in Host->Modules->UDT)
  • The issue is indepnedend from the rendering type, it happens also for default Grid Rendering

Can you please report the versions of UDT and DNN you are using?
