I am a complete novice and ask for assistance.  Was originally set up with DNN v. 4.0.3 through EasyCGI and website worked fine for over a year.  Needed to upgrade to DNN v. 4.8 - before doing so asked for correct procedure and was told to delete current version (4.0.3) then, using the CGI Script Installation for DNN, download v. 4.8 - Have done so on 4 occassions and each time it comes back and says "Critical Error - The file'/dnn/DesktopModules/Auithenticaton Services/LiveID/Login.ascx' does not exist."  Have asked EasyCGI many times for their assistance in correcting this and their response is:

Please be advised that DotNetNuke is a third party product in which limited support is offered by Easy CGI. Application support for DotNetNuke should be directed to the DotNetNuke forums at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/Default.aspx.

So here I am - Can someone help me (preferabbly in non technical terms) to resolve this problem - Thanks - chasgolf

Make sure you are using the Install version.  See Mitch Seller's site for installation instructions.  Ignore the EasyCGI process.
