Hello

I'm going to install DotNetNuke on server but I need to do it with framework 3.5 (to use LINQ in modules, provider support .Net framwork 3.5). So I would like to ask if someone trying to do it?

I would be grateful for any comments, clues, advices, etc.

Thanks in advance,

Peter

Mine's installed on a 3.5 framework.  Works fine.

see:

Setting-up Your Development Environment

Use Visual Studio 2008 to open DotNetNuke:

You may get a message like this:

Click Yes. This will add  the needed changes to the web.config to allow LINQ to SQL to run.

Take a look at these threads for some additional insight as to possible changes as well: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/160/threadid/226025/scope/posts/Default.aspx and http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/160/threadid/248336/scope/posts/Default.aspx

I used Michael's guide as a base when I first was switching over, but then found a few additional settings to be "helpful" in solidifying the installation (mainly the assemblyBinding section to redirect older assemblies to use the newer assemblies without a recompile).
