Because you are using a Parent Portal Dotnetnuke and IIS treat this site as an entirely seperate site.  Therefore, they handle the sites completely different from the way they handle parent portals.

A parent portal expects a completely different domain name to be used for it.  Therefore if you want to use 192.168.169.8/City you are going to have to setup IIS so it knows what to do with this URL.  Does that make any sense?

As I am now developing my work in localhost  using Windows XP. Is there any way to test parent portal for my environment ? How will I  set IIS for that?
