It's like this.. I'm working on a module wherein there is an ASP FileUpload Field for getting the file path and an ASP Button Field for Upload.

I just wanted to know how can I transfer that file (an image) from the ASP FileUpload Field into the file path "[application path]/Portals/[portalid]/.." of my server like the DNN's file manager does.. Using the DNN's file manager is not an option because I don't want users to mess around with my files, and also the URLCONTROL.ascx because its not user friendly for non-DNN users..

Btw, i already know how to update the Tables Files and Folders.

Hope you can help me guys! Tnx in advance!

I use Telerik RadUpload control and this code saves the file:

Private Sub ProcessFileUpload()

    If Upload.UploadedFiles.Count > 0 Then

        Dim strFileNames As String = String.Empty

            For Each validFile As UploadedFile In Upload.UploadedFiles

                Dim targetFolder As String = Server.MapPath("~/DesktopModules/MyModule/Files/" )

                Dim fileName As String = validFile.GetName()

                validFile.SaveAs(Path.Combine(targetFolder, fileName), True)

If you are looking to PREVENT your users from modifying your files, you do NOT want to put them in the /portals/portalid folder as DNN file manager can be updated to allow them to manipulate the file.
