I have a website the requires 2 roles, i need to get different profile information from the user depending on what role they are in.

Can i configure the 'user account' to show profile items based on role? Does anybody now of a module that may do this?

No, but I would advise you look at this:

http://www.snowcovered.com/Snowcovered2/DotNetNuke/Modules/Dynamic-Registration-32/id/10957

It may give you what you need for Registration/Profile Management off the shelf without coding.

Of course this could also be done through a custom module ... but that's a different path.
