I am using the skin that comes with dnn. Is there a css menu like (house of nuke or snapsis) that will work with the dnn skin, or if i get the house of nuke or buy the snapsis i will also have to get a new skin

You can use any menu with any skin. You just have to edit the .ascx to reflect the necessary settings for the menu object. I don't know about the House menu but the Snapsis menu has examples in the documentation.

You dont't need to repalce the Skin, you just replace the menu skin object in skin's axcx file.

If you replaced the menu, you must modify the CSS of the menu you used to achieve the same UI appearance.
