Hi,

I've a problem regarding edit module permissions. I've created a new role named ContentManager and I want to give to this role the edit permissions on some modules on various pages of my portal (without giving them the rights to edit the entire page). Now, if the module display the container the users in that role see the edit link and everything goes right, but if the module container view is disabled, the edit link (e.g for text/html modules the "edit text" link at the bottom of the module) is not displayed. Is it a bug? The only way to resolve it is to create a blank container and display it?

Thanks

Cinzia

As you've already guessed, the way to do it is create a container for the purpose.

It's useful to have a set of blanks available. Make them with and without icons, menus, title, padding. In the end you hardly ever need to make the container invisible.

Rob,

thanks for the very fast answer. I'll follow your suggestions and make my new blank containers.

Thanks again, Cinzia
