I am quite the newbie to DNN after coming over from Joomla, but I can't get over the complete page refresh that each request has on any request made to the server.  In Joomla, there was an extension  which wrappered the modules in DHTML and, when appropriate, just refreshed the main content section (aka contentpane) and left the header, nav, and footer intact (avoiding the flashing to the user.  Is there something which can be done programmatically or via a module to enable this within DNN?  TIA!

DNN 4.6.0 and later provides support for ASP.NET AJAX.  You can enable partial rendering on a module by module basis to allow updates of the nature you request.

Now, enabling this is supported on a module by module basis, NOT ALL MODULES will support this.  You can have a look at my blog http://www.mitchelsellers.com I have a few blog articles about DNN and AJAX support.
