 Aloha,

I'm about to choose between different vendors for user profile as well as some group and social networking modules. 2 of the vendors I've been looking at is activemodule.com and smart-thinker.com, not sure which one would be preferred, does anyone have any insight - hands-on experience wiht these? 

In addition, does anyone know if the mydnnspace.com's software is good or not - I do know they are in the process of changing ownership of the company so I have not been able to get support to get my trial version up and running.

In addition (2) lol, anyone knows any good Private messaging solution that would work wiht a) activemodule.com and/or b) smart-thinker.com

ActiveModules is stepping up its involvement in the DNN SN space after purchasing MyProfile and MyMessages from DNNFusion.

Active Forums 4 was just released and it looks like an update to MyProfile will be released very soon.

Both Active Modules (Will M.) and Smart Thinker (Rod J.) have been big contributors to the DNN community so I don't want to make a call on who is best. But it looks like right now AM is moving forward pretty quick to put together a product suite to meet the needs of DNN SN site providers.

But I think there are still integrations between AM and ST and Ventrian's Private Messages.

Right now I am personally planning to go the Active Modules route because I already have the forums and the MyProfiles and MyMessages licenses.
