did you create a virtual Directory "myDNN" of your default web site in IIS, pointing to the DNN install directory?

Also: This is not the first time I tried to install, the previous time I was a bit idiotic and tried the starter kit. It got to the fourth step in the wizard where the database should've been installed and then just hung, I thaught my pc might just be a bit slow, but it didn't start even after 20 minutes. I thaught to just start the process from the beginning, but then it wouldn't even launch the wizard from VS...

So I deleted everything and started over with the install zip package.

Could it be that the istallation of the starter package change some setting?
