This will keeppopping So I've pinned a workaround that is simple and doesn't even need coding.

There is a forum where you don't have to sign in...

I have it running....but I like the look-n-feel of your form better (the one in question here)

Here is a link to the forum where you don't have to authenticate:  I created this site on DNN 4.0.2 and the forum was downloaded from www.dotnetnuke.com

there has got to be a way to eliminate folks from deleting or editing their posts unless they are signed in.

help me figure out a solution to it...give me some tips and I'll fix it myself.

Listen to me, this is not possible without work on your end and I have no desire to look into what it would take, its that simple. We have no plans to add this as an option either.

Hi, Crispy!

Yes, I've read the long thread entitled "Anonymous posting" last week and understand the stance your development team takes. Nonetheless, there is a real need out there (out here) for allowing just any site visitors to post messages in the forum. I am working for a client who doesn't want the site visitors to register/login at all to be able to take part in the forum. I really like the look and feel of this forum (only that I have a width issue, but I am certain that that can be resolved), but since anonymous posting is not supported, I just will have to look elsewhere for now.

Just another vote for Anonymous Posting.
JC
