I am installing DNN v4.9 with a web hosting site that only allots you 25megs on SQL express.  Will this be large enough?

Hi MFarlow,

I have an installation that is used only for testing, bug validation, and other non-production uses.  It has 5 or 6 pages and virtually no content.  It is just under 18 megabytes in size.

So, while 25 megs will get you started, it will likely not last long at all.

Hope this helps!

Brandon

I've just checked and a new install of dnn 4.9 takes up approximately 6.5Mb of database space. However, if you have any size of site it will grow pretty quickly. You can disable the site log and try to keep your event log cleared and that might give you some space for actual content, but my gut feel is that 25Mb is too small for all but the simplest sites.

As mentioned 25Mb is a bit small.  My site (mitchelsellers.com) with about 200 blog entries, a few hundred forum entries, and 5 toal portals with 3K users and 60 pages uses about 52Mb of database space, just to give you an idea.
