I cannot figure out which setting in my Language Editor controls the email that goes out when a Private Registration is approved.

The problem I have is that it sends an email and the password is missing. It seems like I remember this being an issue for a very long time. But now I have a client having issues with it.

So can anyone tell me more about this and if this is a problem for them?

If needed I can provide a more detailed explanation or let someone register on the site and see what happens. I have to get this cleared up to get paid. So thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Cliff,

what I have usually done to find out the correct language setting is open up Visual Studio and do a "Find in Files" on my DotNetNuke website searching for the language content that I'm looking for.  This will usually get you to the right file so you can figure out how to change it.

All Email texts used in default membership provider are located in Global > GlobalResources file, Keys "EMAIL_*". Open the Language editor in Admin menu, to create portal specific modifications, which are retained during DotNetNuke upgrades.

I know where all the settings are in the Language Editor and I know I can also go directly to the resx files on the server.

But I have gone through every EMAIL related setting that I see and none of them seems to relate to the Private Registration Approval Email.

That leads me to believe that maybe one email setting is used to send out approvals for SOME of the different types of registration.

Here is a sample of an email received after a user registered on our site using private registration and that user was then approved.

So as you can see there is no password. And I can definitely attest to the fact that this has been an issue in the past as well. But now it is costing me money, so I have to figure out how to resolve it. I cannot find any email template in the settings that shows Password without having

Password: [Membership:Password]

So it seems like it has to be a code issue? Or am I missing something?

Thanks.

Hi Cliff,

Take a look at these langauge settings:

\App_GlobalResources\GlobalResources.resx

Look arround line 778 for this key:

EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_VERIFIED_BODY.Text

And you should be able to change the content of the message that gets emaild out.
