My site is hosted for me and "they" did it the first time. I haven't started one from scratch since a testing server I had complete control over in 2.1.2's era. I'll submit a service ticket to the hoster and see what happens.

Danke!

if you are currently running DNN 4.6.2 or later, simply unzip files and enter your site address in your browser to start installation.

If you are running a previous version, please read here.

Sebastian,

I thought you still needed to "merge" the existing web.config with the release.config file in the upgrade package.  Is this no longer a requirement?  Are there any postings or documentation that indicate this?

Hi Mike,

This is what I thought as well, I am on 4.8.4 and reluctant to upgrade as the instructions are unclear.
