Hi, i'm newbye in extending DNN, I need to change the mode of the page from Edit to View on the fly when a special param is in the querystring by coding a skin control,

I tried with .UpdatePortalSetting(.PortalId, "ControlPanelMode", "VIEW") but nothing happened

since IsEditMode is ReadOnly from the skin controls can you suggest some other ways

I have not tested it but I thin kyou should be able to do something like this:

<% If PortalSettings.UserMode = PortalSettings.Mode.Edit %>
Content for In Edit mode only goes here
<% End If %>
