Hello,

My website is in DNN 4.8. I built a custom module on my local machine utilizing DNN 4.9. The module works perfectly on my local machine/portal. However, when I moved it to the actual website it stopped working for a regular user. If I am logged in as host the module performs fine, but when I log in as a regular user and click on a button performing neccessary calculations  it just refreshes the page! No matter what you do to the permissions for the module.

This is a voodoo science to me. Does anyone have a clue what that might be???

Thanks

Make sure that the Cache Duration field on the module's settings page has a value of 0 - that is no output cacheing. You may also want to set this to either 0 or -1 in the appropriate Host-->Module Definitions page for your module or in DNN manifest file if you have created a module package for installation on other DNN installs. A value of -1 sets the Cache Duration to 0 for any newly placed instances of the module AND hides this field in the module settings so that it can not be set to a non-zero value.

William, that solved it! thanks a lot. Based on module's behavior I suspected it was caching problem, but didn't know such setting even existed in DNN. Thanks!
