im not sure what you're asking here, but we don't support beta versions of .net,i'd recommend you uninstall it and install the release version of .net 2.0 (2.0.50727) . If you want to keep running the beta, just remove the requirePermission attributes in web.config

My earlier issue was  : I followed the installation instruction as per given when I try to Install  it shows  " Unrecognized attribute 'requirePermission' "

I searched in forum for this issue , Ever one says

1  For virtual Directory set  Asp.Net tab  to 2.0 ( In my case I set to  Asp.net Version as 2.0.50215.0 )

2  To give Asp.net Machine Account and Network Service     Full trust

I followed both steps but still my issue was unsolved

Thanks Cathal Connolly

But still I am unable to  install . As My client still wants to use Beta Version , So I removed Reguired Permmiision attribute in web.config , but it also forced me to remove many sections in web.config as it says Unrecognised section . After removing many sections in web.config file , now it shows Error as follows

  Name 'Config' is not declared.

Source Error:

Line 65: ''' -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Line 66: Private Sub Application_Start(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs)
Line 67: If Config.GetSetting("ServerName") = "" Then
Line 68: ServerName = Server.MachineName Line 69: Else

Hi Cathal Connolly

I am still unable to install , I  removed Dotnet 2.0 Beta Framework and installed Dotnet 2.0 Frame work , Now my Dnn Install Page opened , but falils in connection . My connection string was correct

My SqlServer 2005 CTP also unable to open when i tried manuall , after installing dotnet 2.0 Frame work . It says

" InternalsVisible to decleration cannot have a version.culture,public token,Processor architechture specified " .

I searched in internet and they says that Sql Server 2005 CTP works only in  Dotnet Framwork 2.0  Beta version not in Framework 2.0

So Is there any alternative solution please suggest me
