Finally after spending hours I have managed to build and run my first portal based on the latest version of DNN. Nothing fancy, simple built in stuff that is shipped in the downloaded zip file.

I can now navigate to http://localhost/DNN/Default.aspx and can see a page come up. However as soon as I hit the URL I get a javascript "Object Required" error. Enabling firebug on Firefox I could narrow the problem down to a function $get that is called on Search.js repeatedly. It is this $get function that is missing. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

OS: XP Pro

IIS: Version 5.0

VS 2008, opened up the solution, website compiles throws no errors/warnings.

Please note that I have compiled this against .NET framework 3.5 and not 2.0
