Hi,

I want use dnn rich text control to one of my module. How can i do that?

download any of the source versions of the modules such as text/html and you'll be able to see it in action. Another easy way is to download the starterkit from http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/125/default.aspx and use it to create a new module (you'll see a "dotnetnuke dynamic module" option when you right click and select add new item. The sample module created uses the rich text control

Note: the rich text editor is abstracted as a provider so you don't create it directly, you create an object that looks up the editor type in the web.config and then creates it ie.

<dnn:texteditor id="teContent" runat="server" height="400" width="660"></dnn:texteditor>

Hi,

Using Dnn rrich text bow i have save data to database. And i retrive db data to gridview. My gridview has template filed with literal control to display data which save using rich text box. When user click select button in gridview , i want retrive template field lteral control data to dnn rich text box. I have use following method ,. but its not work propely.

 

 <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Feature">
                        <ItemTemplate>
                             <asp:Literal ID="Literal1" runat="server"  Text='<%# Server.HtmlDecode( DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "Features").ToString()) %>' ></asp:Literal>
                                                  
                        </ItemTemplate>                  
                   
                    </asp:TemplateField>

 

 

Using this code i try to retrive data from gridview but its not work

 

        Literal lt = new Literal ();
        lt = (Literal)GridView1.FindControl(GridView1.UniqueID + "$Literal1");     
        Label1.Text = lt.Text.ToString();
 

 

Where is the problem?
