There shouldn't be one in Website\Bin only in Website\Bin\Providers. Did you originally start with a pre-DNN 4.6.0 install?

You should be able to ignore the errors when you have an .ascx file open. That's normal and if you close them the error should disappear.

No, it is not an upgrade, was a fresh install of DNN4.8.4. I removed dll from Website\Bin but when I build the solution, it is recreated in this folder even though my project is refrencing the one in Website\Bin\Providers. No idea why it is doing that.

The errors I mentioned in my previous msg were in Login.ascx.vb file. Whenever I try to put a break point on cmdLogin_Click, in debug mode, it never hit the breakpoint "No symbols have been loaded for the current document" even though I am on login page of my website and tried providing login credentials.

When you build the project....is that when the .dll is getting put in the Website\bin folder? Have you got the project loaded by itself or have you added it to the full DNN source project?

I don't know though if it was in \Website\Bin folder or not when I first installed AD module. Its only when you asked me to check if refrences are correct, I noticed it at two places. After you mentioned that it should not be in \Website\Bin, I removed it from there, closed visual studio and build the project and it reappeared.

I am not sure if I am getting this part "Have you got the project loaded by itself or have you added it to the full DNN source project?" But if I am getting it right, I am loading project by itself from folder C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\DNN4.8.4\Website\DesktopModules\<website name>. When I load project from here, Visual studio shows two projects under the solution file, one this <website name> and other called Website.

Something doesn't look right. It looks like you're working with the source version of DNN based on you have a DNN4.8.4\Website directory. Is this correct? If so then there should be a .sln file in the DNN4.8.4 directory and that's the one you'd load to open up the DNN source project. Or if you look under DesktopModules/Authentication/ActiveDirectory you'll also see .sln files for the AD Provider (one for VS2005 and one for VS2008). I'm not sure why you're getting a solution file for your website under DesktopModules.
