Dear,

I want to develop a portal for my friends, where each one of my friends can design his own portal, adding widgets (which I already developed), from another corporate like google, yahoo, etc... . And can alse chat, send emails, use blogs, forums, etc... .

I dont know if DNN will help me, I was decided to develop my own framework, but that will take from me alot of time. For this I decided to use DNN framework and add WebParts and Widgets integration as a new module. Can I do that?

Note: Does their is commercial versions of DNN?

I am not sure I fully understand your question however here is some information about DNN that I think you are aiming for.

  1. You can have multiple portal running from the same install all with their own look and feel
  2. You can add prebuilt skins (there are free and commercial skins available see link below)
  3. You can add modules that do just about anything under the sun (again both free and commercial modules are available see link below)
  4. You can develop modules for DNN using VS 

I do not beleive "WebParts" run in DNN however Modules created using UserControls can be.  I would recommend looking at one of the DNN book available on creating modules.

There are some commercial modules that allow this.  You might try the Smart Thinker modules for what you want.
