I am having the hardest time trying to setup DNN with IIS  7, finally I did install all the needed files. But it is late at night and it is giving me the following error;

HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found

The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map.

I am new to IIS 7, can someone tell me how to configure ASP.NET 2.0 to run on IIS 7?

Any help will be appreciated.

I am running Vista, not sure if you are, or Windows2k8, but you should setup your site to run under the "classic app pool" that will be a 2.0 capable pool.

It sounds more like you don't have the .net extensions enabled in IIS though, if you click on the Machine Name (above app pools) in IIS do you see a section called Management with a Feature Delegation option? You might check there to enable .Net

You might also check the "Handler Mappings" section.

From release 4.8.0 Dotnetnuke will run under integrated pipline mode in IIS 7. (Gemini DNN-6743)

Check www.iis.net or www.asp.net for help on this.
