Hi, I need to match a skin to a specific portal alias. My web site have two alias and I need to match different skin for each alias. Same site with different skin according to which alias is used. How can I do?

Scippy One,

I would suggest setting up a flexible skin that relies on CSS for the look and feel. I'd then put logic (in the form of a C# or VB.NET code block, or even javascript) into your skin to detect what portal alias is being used and load a different CSS file based on which portal alias is used. If you abstract away all of the "look and feel" style to your CSS files, this could be a relatively easy and maintainable solution.

Take care,

Ian

Here i have a skin that changes based on domain so that woudl siut for alias as well

the basics is very simple  you have one skin.ascx  and based on the domain this automatically loads domain1 or domain2.ascx
