Ok here's an interesting one I'd gladly buy someone a beer for if they could provide some insight.

It's a DNN v1.1.2 install that's years old with logins long forgotten. All of a sudden the content quits appearing. The skin elements with a populated solpart menu as well as the ability to register/login are present. However none of the content is appearing. It looks as it would if someone set the whole site to only be viewable by admin role or the likes. However I can't confirm anything because I so far have been unsuccessful in logging in or even finding anything I can do a password reminder on.

So I grabbed the web.config and am digging around the db because luckily the the ftp etc was put to memory. I'm not finding any user list, is there somewhere I'm not looking? I can find the db userlist obviously but not the portals users so I can see what usernames even where. Has anyone else possibly ran into this issue? Should I possibly use for example a route provided kindly by Mitch Sellers on his blog and just maybe inject a new admin and see what's there? I'm in quandry regardless. Any opinion's gratiously welcome. Cheers!

there has never been a V 1.1.2, which makes it difficult to help, since user management has changed significantly ebtween versions. Try to read correct version number from /bin/dotnetnuke.dll file.

I'm sorry, I meant 2.1.2

We managed to find the login credentials for admin access, and there's no log entries in the site log or event viewer, and none of the content is still available but the admin options are. It's odd. I looked in the user list but couldn't locate the host name but I'm not sure if would be viewable with admin rights only anyway.

This one has me stumped so any ideas are more than welcome. Thanks guys!

Ok so apprently when the site was set up probably 5 years ago it was a child portal set with an expiry date of 10/1/2008 so obviously I just need to get in there and remove the expiry date from the host account.

So now I have a new problem. No one seems to have an idea of what the host account credentials are. Is there a way I can inject a new host/find the host name/reset the expiry date through the database?

Thanks so much for your help and any further insight you can share, I was banging my head for a bit. Cheers!
