I upgraded our intranet server from 4.8.0 to 4.9.0 this morning.  We had been running the AD provider 1.04 on our prior install.  When I did the upgrade in our test environment I don't recall having any problems with the AD provider auto-logging in a user.

In our production environment this is not the case.  Does anyone have the auto-login feature working on a 4.9.0 install?  Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Drew

Are you getting any specific errors Andrew or is anything getting logged to the DNN Event Viewer? I don't have any production 4.9.0 installs but I do have a number of test installs that are mirrors of the production environments where it's working.

No, there is nothing in the event viewer.  It appears that when you browse to the site it is not hitting the windowssignin.aspx page.  If I browse directly to that page it does log me in, but I don't know why this isn't happening automatically any more.

Is this line (<add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory" />) in the <httpModules> section of your web.config? It should be the last line in that section.

Thanks Mike!  That was the problem.

Why did this not get added when I did the upgrade?  Just curious if this is something I need to watch for with future upgrades.

Thanks again!

Drew
