Hi,

im a newbie to the dotnetnuke application.

Anyway I downloaded the latest version 4.09 and tried playing around with the modules with the default skin. I have added a vendor and uploaded a banner ad. Now when adding the banner module to the top pane to say on the home page, and aligning it to the centre, it doesnt seem to get aligned to the centre. It always shows it as left aligned. Any ideas as to how I can align it to the centre. I dont think its the banner module alone, must be the other modules as well having problems with alignment or may be its the skin all together causing the problem. So guys I need your assistance on how to fix this.

Looking for positive feedback.

Thanks,

Wasim

The default skin is the first for DNN. I have not checked this and if you have gone to module settings and in page settings made the module go center and it does not - then it could be a skin/container issue that may need to be reported.

you could try another skin, or a free skin from my site to just check and see if this is a DNN issu or if it is a skin issue. Please report so if it is skin - we try and fix it.

I figured out it was the containers. It uses divs so may be thats what's causing the alignment issues.

I am not sure if this is a bug. The banner module align perfectly in the centre (if set to centre) on IE7 but it will not align to specific alignment on Firefox (always aligns to the left). Seems like its only the banner module as I have tried the Text/HTML module and that works fine on both browsers. I need it to work perfectly on both the browsers. I have tried it with the default containers and skin DNN-Blue and it still aligns to the left on Firefox. That means for now I will have to hard code the banner token in the skin to be centred but that is not professional.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Wasim

Try going under the module settings and adding a <div align="center"> in the header and </div> in the footer. Kind of a pain, but I think it does the trick.
