Hi, I have a question regarding the auto login feature for AD users. I have a fresh install of DNN 4.9.0 with 1.0.0.4 of the AD provider which all works perfectly. The only issue I am having is when users (me included) navigate to the DNN site a windows authentication box appears and they are required to login which does work providing they add our domain in before their username. I have done a bit of research but can't see whether this should happen or not. As I would like them to be able to browse to the site and for DNN to auto log them in. I have checked the web.config to make sure the authentication line is inserted below the httpmodules.

Any help is much appreciated. I have the upmost repsect for people that spend time helping others and designing these excellent modules!!

Hi Joe

Have you taken a look at the documentation? It sounds like you need to add the site to either the trusted or intranet sites list in your Internet Options. Unless you're using Firefox in which case you're always going to get the pop-up.

Just saw this post when looking for something else. For those of you who want auto login to work with Firefox you can edit the about:config in FF to force NTLM authentication. This post shows what settings you need to change http://sivel.net/2007/05/firefox-ntlm-sso/
