I'm looking to create a piece of SQL code to pull the emails for users registered the previous day - to send out email to follow things up etc.

Been studying up on SQL, but not quite managing to get this right.

So far I have:

Select Email, UserName, CreatedDate
from Users, UserPortals
where Users.UserID = UserPortals.UserId;

but I do need to add something ('and') to the 'where' statement that has the CreatedDate = not the GETDATE() but yesterday's date. Bear in mind I am actually new to this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

David

Select Email, UserName, CreatedDate
from Users, UserPortals
where Users.UserID = UserPortals.UserId AND DateDiff(day,getdate(), CreatedDate) > 1;

Thanks Sebastian, as usual you're a champ! :-)

I did have to modify it slightly but you got me on the right track!

Select Email, UserName, CreatedDate
from Users, UserPortals
where Users.UserID = UserPortals.UserId AND DateDiff(day,getdate(), CreatedDate) = -1;

I think just the order of the get & create dates... and also having an = makes sure it doesn't pick up any from the current day (as they'd get an email the following day).

A nifty little thing that lets me send emails out automatically the next day, 1 week later etc etc - whatever the number is set at!

Many thanks

David
