Thanks a ton charles!  That was it!

Is there a place where I could go to get a good list of changes like these?  I know that everything is supposed to be listed in Gemini but that's a bit superferlous.

As far as I know, Gemini is the only source of truth when it comes to changes, however, a good rule of thumb is is NEVER reuse a customized template from one beta to another or from one RC to another.  As given the nature of Beta's and RC's it is quite common for configuration changes to occur.

Folks,

Can I reinforce Tony's point about a summary change whitepaper for V5. I would think this would be most helpful to all since V5 will be a very important release. While I guess Gemini is very useful for recording bugs etc, I think it can be a bit difficult to trawl the changes when trying to understand what a new release offers.

This document may well be planned or being written...

Just food for thought,

Sam

Sam and Tony,

the first time, there can be a consolidated list of changes is, when DNN 5 comes out. The core team will do its best to provide documentation, but for sure, this depends on other factors as well (beta testing results, non-technical offenses, ...)

 Thanks Sebastian.

In the future, I tihnk this would be something that would be good to have before the project is released and really, before it even enters beta testing.  I know that when Beta 5 first came out we were reporting a lot of changes as bugs in Gemini because we couldn't find them documented anywhere.  From our perspective, it makes it really hard for us to know if a beta is doing the right thing or not if the changes aren't documented until after the project is complete.
