hey guys,

just read in the gallery blog that tam is taking a break from DNN development. how will this affect further development of this module?

the current AD integration has some issues: storing of AD passwords, role synchronization, etc. there are enough of us developers out here that really need solid AD integration that we could probably help if we had access to documented source code.

perhaps you are working on a new version but this forum, the blogs and the gemini project page are never updated so it's hard to tell. thanks again for your hard work. any update would be greatly appreciated.

The AD project, while currently silent, is not dead.  Our 3.3/4.1 releases will include a newly rearchitected Membership/Profile/Role API which will give us some much needed flexibility.  After this release is complete we will be able to properly address the many AD issues.  Ultimately, AD will be just one more set of providers for DNN, but the key to making that a reality is having Membership/Profile/Role API's that can support all of DNN's functionality.

Thank you for this update.
We, as many other company whose IT manager I have spoken to,  are considering DNN for our intranet but one key point is a working AD integration so I am glad you have this in your goals.
