I am studying ListX to developing my own module now. But I have a little confusing abut the benifit of using ListX instead of developing module directly...

Does anybody have the experience with ListX and can share some experience about the gaining benifit after convert developing process from private module to ListX?

Thank you~~

I do not have experience working with ListX, but have worked with similar products.

The key value is typically the speed of the process, using something like ListX allows for instant creation, you might be able to make a specific implementation in a few hours by yourself, but you don't need to take that time when using something like ListX.  I find personally that I just like to spend the litle extra time to have 100% control over the data display, storage and reporting, but that is because I'm a developer by trade, and it really doesn't take me that long to get things that that done.....

I'm the flip side of Mitch. I'm not a developer by trade.

I have looked into learning to develop my own modules. But the trade off for time spent learning isn't worth it at this point. I can do everything I need to do in Xmod and ListX.  ListX is very powerful and the new version called Open Web Studio will be even better. I like the built in math engine that ListX has as well as a few other things. Plus as Mitch points out it is usually faster to build something in ListX than custom develop it. Depending on what you want to build Xmod is even faster - as long as it has what you need to do the job.
