Hi

I am trying to get an installation of DNN to work over the internet with windows authentication. I have external users which need to use items on my server (one is reports via reporting services) I am no expert in security and struggling quite a bit. I don't have a domain controller setup so the AD module won't help.

Maybe i'm going about this the wrong way, has anyone got an easier idea?

Thanks.

Without an domain controller you won't be able to use Windows Authentication because it has no domain to authenticate against. I think your best bet is to go with a regular DNN install and the use of DNN Security Roles to lock down what areas of your site users can see.
