I'm reading this article:

http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/SingleSignOn/

feel it's great.

but, I don't implement that. Due to that I can't do the follow point:

first :

"Create the External Application" section, in the article's words of "In Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Web Developer Express create a web application that uses forms Authentication" , the URL is bad. not "forms Authentication" now.

second:

"Next, create a custom module that calls the web service " in the article, I don't know that how to do it.

If anyone can write the step by step article, that's better.

This article is good. and the code reading nice. but it's not step by step for newbie.
