Hi, recently I developed a module which consists of a GridView and in its setting a formView and GridView. This module perform getdata, insert, update and delete. it works properly on local, but when I upload it on dotnetnuke installed on host gives me this error:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Unhandled Error Adding Module to ContentPane ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: Type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.ControlParameter' does not have a public property named 'DbType'. ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: Type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.ControlParameter' does not have a public property named 'DbType'. ---> System.Web.HttpException: Type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.ControlParameter' does not have a public property named 'DbType'. at System.Web.UI.ControlBuilder.AddProperty(String filter, String name, String value, Boolean mainDirectiveMode) at System.Web.UI.ControlBuilder.PreprocessAttribute(String filter, String attribname, String attribvalue, Boolean mainDirectiveMode) at System.Web.UI.ControlBuilder.PreprocessAttributes(ParsedAttributeCollection attribs) at System.Web.UI.ControlBuilder.Init(TemplateParser parser, ControlBuilder parentBuilder, Type type, String tagName, String id, IDictionary attribs) at System.Web.UI.ControlBuilder.CreateChildBuilder(String filter, String tagName, IDictionary attribs, TemplateParser parser, ControlBuilder parentBuilder, String id, Int32 line, VirtualPath virtualPath, Type& childType, Boolean defaultProperty) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ProcessBeginTag(Match match, String inputText) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseStringInternal(String text, Encoding fileEncoding) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ProcessException(Exception ex) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseStringInternal(String text, Encoding fileEncoding) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseString(String text, VirtualPath virtualPath, Encoding fileEncoding) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseString(String text, VirtualPath virtualPath, Encoding fileEncoding) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseFile(String physicalPath, VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseInternal() at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.Parse() at System.Web.Compilation.BaseTemplateBuildProvider.get_CodeCompilerType() at System.Web.Compilation.BuildProvider.GetCompilerTypeFromBuildProvider(BuildProvider buildProvider) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildProvidersCompiler.ProcessBuildProviders() at System.Web.Compilation.BuildProvidersCompiler.PerformBuild() at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.CompileWebFile(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Modules.ModuleSettingsPage.Page_Init(Object sender, EventArgs e) in D:\Domains\ariadej.com\wwwroot\Admin\Modules\ModuleSettings.ascx.vb:line 496 at System.Web.UI.Control.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.UserControl.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.AddedControl(Control control, Int32 index) at System.Web.UI.ControlCollection.Add(Control child) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

i'm confused why this error occurred on host. DBType is one of the Type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.ControlParameter properties. Please, help me...

Hi Maziar.

I ran into the same problem this morning. Turned out the server I deployed my project to was running .NET Framework 3.5 while the workstation I developed my project on was running .NET Framework 3.5 SP1!

I suggest you verify .NET Framework versions between your client and your server.

Kind regards,
Raymond Brink

Wow, talk about timely.  I just had this problem - not even working on a DNN project (for once).  I checked on Google and this article was already indexed (same day).

I upgraded to SP1 and the problem was solved.

Thanks Raymond,

BK
